Good questions.

Getting started

Do I need a new email address?
You get one — but only for newsletters. Your personal @paperstand address works on every subscribe form; your real email stays untouched.
How do I move my existing newsletters over?
Update each subscription to your @paperstand address — nearly every newsletter has an “update your email” link at the bottom of each issue. From then on, new issues land on your stand instead of your inbox.
Do I have to leave my email provider?
No. Paperstand sits next to your inbox, not instead of it. Your personal mail stays exactly where it is — it just gets a lot quieter.
How do I subscribe to something new?
One tap in Discover, or use your @paperstand address on any subscribe form anywhere on the web. Either way, it appears on your stand.

Reading

Can I read offline?
New issues download to your device, so the train, the plane and the cabin all count as reading rooms.
Can I change how issues look?
Every issue opens in the calm Paperstand reader. Adjust text size and switch between light and dark to taste — the words stay the same, the noise doesn’t come along.
Do senders know when I read?
No. We strip tracking pixels and link trackers before an issue ever reaches your stand. What you read, when, and for how long is nobody’s business but yours.
Can I keep an issue forever?
Anything you save stays — even on the free plan. Only unsaved issues older than three months quietly leave your stand.

Your subscriptions

What if a sender ignores my unsubscribe?
We close the door for you. Once you leave a newsletter, it can’t reach your stand again — no matter what the sender does.
Can I quiet a newsletter without leaving it?
Pause it. Issues keep arriving silently, without notifications, until you’re ready for them again.
What if a newsletter isn’t in Discover?
Subscribe anywhere on the web with your @paperstand address — it lands on your stand all the same. And tell us about it; we like inviting good publishers.
Can I use more than one address?
On Premium, yes — multiple aliases let you keep separate addresses for topics, projects, and experiments, all arriving on one stand.

Plans & billing

Is the free plan really free?
Yes, and ad-free. It’s not a trial and never expires. Issues older than three months quietly leave your stand; anything saved stays.
What does Premium add?
Unlimited storage so your archive never expires, multiple aliases, MCP & API access, and early access to new features — for €2.99 a month or €29.95 a year.
Can I cancel anytime?
Of course — monthly or yearly, one tap, no questions. Your stand simply returns to the free plan; nothing you saved is lost.
Is there a family or team plan?
Not yet. Each stand is personal — but if a shared plan would help you, write us; it’s on our list.

Privacy & data

Do you read my newsletters?
No. Your stand is yours alone. Nobody at Paperstand browses what you subscribe to or what you read.
Do you sell reading data?
Never. No ads, no selling your reading habits — Premium subscriptions pay the bills, which keeps you the customer, not the product.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in the EU, under European data protection law. Details live in our Privacy Policy — written to be read, not skimmed.
Can I delete my account?
One tap in settings. Your address, your archive, and everything about you goes with it — including from our backups, within 30 days.

Still curious?

We read everything that lands on our stand — usually with a coffee, always with care.
